ShotMap Terms of Service

Welcome to ShotMap. By accessing or using our website, mobile app, or any related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use ShotMap.

1. Who We Are

ShotMap is a centralized directory for firearms training and related services. It is currently developed and operated by Marksmen Market, LLC, a North Carolina-based business focused on firearms education and Second Amendment support.

ShotMap may, in the future, operate as an independent business. All users will be notified if and when that transition occurs. For now, all references to “we,” “our,” or “us” in these Terms refer to Marksmen Market, LLC operating the ShotMap platform.
2. Purpose of ShotMap

ShotMap helps students discover and register for firearms training classes — including NRA, USCCA, and local courses — and allows instructors to list, manage, and promote their offerings. The platform also features tools to locate shooting ranges, FFL dealers, and gunsmiths.

3. Eligibility

To use ShotMap, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be legally eligible to use or possess firearms in your jurisdiction
  • Agree to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
4. User Accounts
You may be required to create an account to access certain features (e.g., listing a class, bookmarking, messaging). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
5. Instructor Listings

Instructors are solely responsible for:

  • Providing accurate, current class and profile information
  • Maintaining valid credentials (e.g., NRA or USCCA certifications)
  • Responding to student inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Ensuring that all training complies with legal and safety standards

ShotMap does not endorse, certify, or verify any instructor. We are a directory platform, not a training provider.

6. Content Guidelines

Users and instructors may not post content that:

  • Is false, misleading, or deceptive
  • Violates any laws or third-party rights
  • Contains hate speech, harassment, or offensive material
  • Promotes illegal activity

ShotMap reserves the right to remove any listings or content at our sole discretion.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

ShotMap may offer free and paid subscription tiers (e.g., ShotMapPro) for instructors and businesses. All payment transactions are processed via third-party gateways. Subscription fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

8. Firearms Disclaimer
ShotMap does not sell firearms, ammunition, or accessories. We do not facilitate firearm transfers. We are an informational and directory-based service only.
9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marksmen Market, LLC and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from your use of the Service, including reliance on listings or instructor content.

10. Service Availability and Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of ShotMap at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
